Ben is the Area Manager for Response at Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. He joined MFRS in 2001 and served at a number of locations in roles as a Firefighter, Crew Manager and Watch Manager.
In 2008, he was promoted to Station Manager (Flexi Duty Officer) and served in a number of functional and station based roles. He was promoted to Group Manager in 2014 and served in a number of roles and directorates before becoming the Project Manager for the new Training & Development Academy capital scheme in 2021.
In 2022, Ben became Area Manager, responsible for Community Fire Stations (including Fire Control and the Marine Rescue Unit), Health and Safety and Operational Assurance.
