Serin Close, Finch Lane, Dovecot

Firefighters attended a kitchen fire in a house off Finch Lane, in Dovecot, on Tuesday, 23rd July.

Crews were alerted at 5.01pm and on the scene at 5.06pm. Two fire engines attended.

On arrival, crews found the fire - which had started in the kitchen in a pan of food - was already out but used a high pressure hose reel to damp down.

One person, suffering moderate smoke inhalation, was taken to hospital.

Cooking equipment sustained fire damage, with the kitchen and dining room damaged by smoke and the rest of the property lightly affected by smoke.

Crews left the scene at 6.02pm.
