Location: Havannah Lane, St Helens
Firefighters are currently in attendance at a flat fire on Havannah Lane, St Helens.
Crews were alerted at 3.49pm and on scene at 3.55pm. Four fire engines are in attendance.
On arrival crews found a fire in first floor flat to be well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property under rapid deployment to prevent further escalation.
One person was rescued from the property by firefighters. They have been taken to hospital for further assessment.
The fire has been extinguished.
A comprehensive search of all flats has been carried out and all persons have been accounted for.
Merseyside Police are also in attendance.
