Location: Bridge House Lane, Fazakerley
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service is currently in attendance at a fire at a waste water treatment site on Bridge House Lane, Fazakerley.
Crews were alerted at 5.03pm and on scene shortly after. Two fire engines were initially sent to the scene, with a further four attending soon after to assist with water supplies.
On arrival, crews found a silo - approximately 20m in height and 15m in diameter - involved in fire. The fire has since been contained to an electrical control box adjacent to the silo.
Power to the electrical box has been isolated and the fire has been brought under control.
The incident is expected to be scaled down shortly.
